Frequently asked questions
The things buyers ask us before their first purchase. If yours is not here, message us — we answer in the same channel you write in.
Are Korean cars left- or right-hand drive?
Left-hand drive, without exception. Korea drives on the right. If your country requires right-hand drive, Korea is not the right source for you.
Do I buy from you, or from the Korean seller?
From us. We purchase the vehicle in Korea on your behalf and handle the deregistration and export. You are never wiring money to a private seller you cannot verify.
What does the price on a listing include?
The listing price is the Korean market asking price for the car itself. It does not include inland transport to the port, export clearance, ocean freight or anything charged at your end. Ask us and we will send a full price delivered to your port.
Can you tell me the import duty in my country?
No, and you should be sceptical of anyone who quotes it confidently. Duty is set by your customs authority, often calculated from a government reference value rather than what you actually paid, and it changes without notice. Your customs broker is the right source — we can introduce you to one at your port.
How much is shipping?
It depends on the destination port, the vehicle size and whether you ship RoRo or in a container. Our shipping calculator gives you an indicative figure you can check yourself before contacting anyone.
How long does it take?
Typically a few weeks from purchase to departure, then the sailing time to your port. RoRo space for used vehicles is allocated by the shipping line, so a specific sailing cannot be guaranteed — we tell you the vessel and date once the booking is confirmed.
How do I know the car is not damaged?
Every Korean vehicle carries a performance-check record and an insurance accident history. We read both and send you the findings. Where you want more certainty, we inspect the car in person before you commit.
The history shows an accident. Is that a dealbreaker?
Not necessarily. Korean insurance records list who paid, for what, and how much — a paint-only claim is a very different thing from structural repair. We translate the detail so you can judge rather than guess.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer (T/T SWIFT) against an invoice we issue. Pay only to the account printed on that invoice — bank details vary by currency, so confirm them with your manager first. We will never ask you to send funds to a personal account.
What documents will I get?
Bill of Lading, commercial invoice, the vehicle registration copy and its certified English translation, the original de-registration certificate and its translation, a certificate of origin and the export declaration. They are couriered after the vessel departs.
I am importing into the EU. Is there a COC?
No. Korean vehicles are not issued a Certificate of Conformity, so homologation and registration in the EU are yours to arrange. We supply the registration copy, the de-registration certificate and certified English translations.
The car I want is not in your catalogue. Can you still get it?
Usually, yes. Our catalogue is not the whole of Korea. Send us the link from wherever you found it — another marketplace or an auction — and we will check availability and condition and price it for you.
Can I follow my car after it ships?
Yes. Once the booking is confirmed you can track the shipment by VIN on this site and see the stage it has reached, from gate-in to arrival.
